problem installing 1.18.0 or 1.19.0 on Eclipse 3.5.1, on ubuntu 9.10 (64-bit)

I can't seem to install the latest version on my ubuntu 9.10 (64-bit) machine....
Running eclipse 3.5.1

When I manually downloaded 1.19.0 and installed it, it never showed up in the interface....

I then removed it, and tried to install using the eclipse interface to install from the update site: http://viplugin.com

This only had version 1.18.0 there....

I got this error:
